Consulting

There's the work that runs your business. And the work that grows it.

Right now, one is crowding out the other. I help small businesses automate the repetitive work that fills your week — so you can put that time back into customers, growth, and the work that actually brings in revenue. I'm based in Vermont and work remotely with clients wherever they are.

Tell me about your business. I'll show you where there's room to grow.

Drop your website URL — I'll look at what you do and show you where automation could free up time for the work that grows your business. Add your email and I'll also send you a detailed report with specific project ideas and ballpark pricing.

You'll see results right here on the page in about two minutes.

If this is where your week goes, there's room to grow.

  • You're spending Monday morning copying numbers between tools instead of planning the week ahead.
  • New leads sit in your inbox because you're too busy serving existing customers to follow up.
  • An hour goes to a report that says roughly the same thing every time — an hour that could go to something that grows the business.
  • A key process lives in one person's head, and that's holding you back from scaling.

Who You're Working With

Hi, I'm Matt.

I'm a software engineer based in Middlesex, Vermont. Before starting Hunger Mountain Intelligence, I spent years building AI products at Google Cloud and leading engineering teams at companies ranging from early-stage startups to the Fortune 500 — almost all of it delivered remotely, across distributed teams.

These days, I work with small businesses across the country — most of it remote, some of it here in Vermont. I help people figure out which parts of their work are worth automating, build the automation, and hand it off so it runs on its own — and they can put that time back into customers, growth, and the work that actually brings in revenue.

Around here, I sometimes go by the Hunger Mountain AI Guy.

Not sure which task to tackle first?

That's a common starting point, and it's what the Automation Blueprint is designed for. We spend 90 minutes on a video call walking through your daily and weekly workflows together. I ask a lot of questions, you tell me where your time goes.

Within a week, I send you a short written report — your top automation opportunities ranked by impact, with a plain-English description of each one and a fixed-price quote to build it.

If you move forward with a project, you get two free months of ongoing maintenance included — so you're covered well beyond delivery while the automation settles into your routine.

Even if you decide not to move forward with anything, you'll have a clear picture of where automation could help and what it would cost. The plan is yours to keep either way.

Pricing

Straightforward pricing

Your Automation Blueprint includes fixed-price quotes for each recommendation. Here's what those projects typically look like:

Founding-client rate

The first five projects come at a founding rate.

I'm building out my first set of case studies, so I'm taking on my first five projects at a founding rate: 50% off the first three and 20% off the next two. Same fixed price, quoted up front. In return, I write up the finished project as a short case study — reviewed and approved by you before anything goes public.

Founding clients receive a discounted rate in exchange for permission to share their project.

Every project includes 30 days of support after delivery, plus two free months of ongoing maintenance. Most automations have zero or near-zero ongoing cost beyond that. Optional maintenance plans start at $200/month — details on the How It Works page.
